Formed in 2019, Friends of Jessie Street (FJS) is a coalition of local businesses and residents who live and work around the 500 block of Jessie Street in SoMa.
FJS is currently focused on physical streetscape improvements and working together to make Jessie street a more livable and welcoming community for all.

“Toe to Toe” is a mural by Jeffrey Cheung, and is located on the exterior of Pentacle Coffee on 6th Street.
What SF Parks Alliance Loves
We have been inspired by the enthusiasm amongst the community on the 500 block of Jessie Street to highlight and support public spaces in their neighborhood. Having the local design firm CAMO on board, along with nearby business and community partners, has allowed for the creation of a comprehensive and sustainable plan that will promote and enliven this area!
